Simply beautiful! The rooms are spacious and cosy at the same time. The owners are helpful and kind. The garden is amazing with squirrels and birds every morning and the view from the balcony was stunning. Will be back soon!

As soon as you walk through the front entrance doorway you will fall in love with this house. You are instantly overcome with a sense of warmness ,and friendliness such a lovely house to stay in.

The house sits in a prominent position in lovely gardens that during summer would be a fantastic place to relax and read a book whilst soaking up the sun.

Inside the house the apartments are large clean and well thought out in layout,we can guarantee that when you first walk into the hallway you will stop and stare in amazement at how beautiful it is.

Still retaining most of its period fittings and boasting a staircase that would grace any mansion house we spent a lot of time admiring the house. If you are lucky to book one of the apartments with a balcony you will have the extra treat of a view over Torbay and you can sit out in the evening and watch the sun set.

 We couldnt have asked for nicer people than John and Angela they look after thier guests and are always happy to help or answer questions. We will be staying again and would recommend Vomero apartments for a friendly relaxing stay to anyone. Thanks to John and Angela we enjoyed our stay with you in November.

There's nothing much more to say other than we have been home for less than 3hrs and have already booked for next year! Such a beautiful house and gardens and NOTHING is to much trouble, there's everything you need and if not available John and Angela will come to your help.

We had to cancel our holiday in Torquay at the last minute due to illness. We phoned up John and Angela the day before we were due to travel. We were naturally prepared to give up the money paid and John said that he would try to sell our week. On the following Tuesday, John phoned to ask if my wife was feeling any better; the following week in our apartment was free and he invited us to stay in it at no charge. We were very touched and we’re driving down on Sunday. What a lovely thing to do!
We obviously had high expectations as we drove down to Torquay. HOT TIP! If you’re diving up Stichill Road, following your Satnav, Vomero is on the left, not right. There are two entrances TAKE THE HIGHER ONE! You’ll see. If you’re coming down the hill, it’s immediately on the right. Take time to read the blue plaque; it was Brunel’s house once.
The place lived up to our expectations. A Victorian villa overlooking Tor Bay, our apartment, with high ceilings, French doors to its own terrace, with views across the harbour. Everything that you could possibly want was provided. This was the first time I had ever been self catering in sixty years of holidaying. Everything was there; including a lovely welcome from a lovely couple.
We would certainly consider returning to this great place!
