Here at Vomero, we understand the need to provide families the confidence that they are booking quality accommodation that meets their particular needs. This ensures a relaxing and stress free holiday for parents and children alike. At Vomero we provide such accommodation and have been accredited by Enjoy England Families Welcome scheme since 2009.

Families Welcome scheme is awarded to businesses that provide facilities and services for families of varying ages and combinations. Accommodation displaying this logo provides facilities specifically for your family and provides information to help make your stay more comfortable and enjoyable.

Facilities for children:

  • Kidszone - a safe indoor area for children to play
  • Children's books, toys, games, DVDs, computer games and beach toys
  • We also offer a registered child minding facility on site (to be booked in advance)

We have available on request:  

  • Toddler bed or travel cot with bedding
  • Highchair, booster seat, children’s cutlery and plastic plates, mugs etc
  • Baby bath, step up stool, changing mat, top and tail bowl, nappy bin and bags

Wonderful holiday

Dear John and Angela, we very much enjoyed our stay in Vomero. Where shall we start? You've been lovely hosts, the garden and the view is really a treasure, the rooms are cosy and exceptionally well equipped for toddlers. Leon loved the toys and playing in the garden, he  took his very first steps at Vomero. Thank you for everything we had a wonderful holiday.

Beautiful house, comfortable apartments, stunning gardens. The kids zone ensured the kids were able to entertain themselves away from the adults in a safe environment and also gave us some peace and quiet! We will definitely be going again. A perfect base for a holiday in Torquay and to explore the surrounding areas.

Vomero is a Jewel in Torquay

Vomero is a jewel in the English Riviera! We stayed for a month in this beautifully restored villa in a spacious apartment that was spotless and had everything you could want. John and Angela are excellent hosts and are always available if you need them.
The view and gardens are superb.

They welcome children and have even set up a 'kids zone'. The free amenities are endless: full use of a computer, loads of movies and books, games for children, picnic sets, iron and ironing board, loungers and chairs in the garden, free parking, etc. If you feel like staying in for a day, it's a treat to take a book and sit in the gorgeous garden and listen to the birds singing.
